President Buhari is going on a 5-days vacation, making Osinbajo the acting President.

President Buhari has started a short get-away from today, Feb. 5 to February 10, 2016. An announcement by Special Adviser to Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, says that while Buhari is away, the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo will perform the functions of the President. The announcement included that in consistence with Section 145 (1) of the Nigerian Constitution, President Buhari has dispatched a formal notification of his get-away to the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
