A business mogul, Chief Jacob Adejare Oyegoke, popularly known as Otunba Damjay, has put smiles on face of his staff member, Saliu Oluwatoyin Steven by indicating interest to sponsor his university education.
AMILOADED gathred thay Otunba Damjay, a native of Ifon in Osun state, is a businessman and the Chief Executive Officer of Damjay groups of company, Damjay films and record, Damjay hotels, Damjay Oil & Gas and Damjay favourite bread and supermarket.
Steven, a staff member of Damjay Grand Royal palace was said to have secured university admissions twice but could not proceed because of financial challenges.
Steven, an indigene of Offa, Kwara State is the third born in his family. His parents are said to be petty traders. He gained admissions to University of Lagos but could not run the programme.
Not willing to give up on his dream to be educated, Steven was said to have sat for another Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and scored 253. He wants to study political science at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
The 25-year-old man had been offered admission but could not raise his tuition fees.
When Otunba Damjay got to hear of Steven’s predicament, he immediately declared his desire to finance him through the university.
Steven, according to information made available to AMILOADED, joined Damjay Grand Royal palace behind nipco filing station on December 1, 2019 before respite came his way on February 12,2020.
Otunba Damjay was said to have already transfered a huge amount to Steven to pay his school fees with a promise to sponsor him fully.
Steven could not hide his joy as he started praying for his benefactor with a promise to make him proud in his academic career.
It was gathered that Otunba Damjay could not have primary education owing to his parents’ financial constraints.
Since God has blessed him, Otunba Damjay promised to keep helping people in education because if he had got assistance during his younger days, he would have also being educated.
