Super Eagles Players Sleep In Libyan Airport After Abandonment

AMILOADED MEDIA HUB NEWS UPDATE

The Super Eagles had a frustrating 12-hour ordeal at Al Abraq International Airport in Libya where the team has been stranded since arrival on Sunday afternoon.

The team was en route to Benghazi for the crucial qualifier when their chartered aircraft was diverted mid-flight to Al Abraq, a small airport naturally reserved for hajj operations.

The unexpected diversion left players and officials stranded without any assistance from the Libyan Football Federation.

The Libyan Federation also failed to provide transportation.

In images seen online, Super Eagles players were seen sleeping uncomfortably at the airport after being abandoned by the Libyan government.
