Rave Fm’s On Air Personality (OAP) and entrepreneur, Adedayo Oderinu has described the Osun Facebook Hangout as a gathering of friends to interact physically off social media.
Oderinu commended the organizers, noting that the event has grown over the years and that more vendors are presenting their goods. Oderinu also characterized this year’s event as being more organized.
The OAP made these remarks while addressing at the GMT Hotel in Osogbo during the Osun Facebook Hangout 2023, which had the theme “Owambe vibes.”
In order to strengthen ties, he also praised participants for interacting as friends rather than as strangers.
The organizer of this year’s Facebook hangout, Kamilu Lamini, revealed during her speech that although the hangout began three years ago, this year’s version appears to be different due to the division occurring between state residents on the social media site.
We have a lot of talented young Osun people, I’ve also noticed. We have ladies who work as carpenters and bricklayers. He said, “We have men who are skilled and hardworking as well.”
Although Lamini expressed gratitude to the former and current hangout leaders, she clarified that the purpose of this yearly gathering is to socialize and establish connections.
In a related development, Comrade Kehinde Ayantunji, a former senior special assistant to Governor Gboyega Oyetola on social mobilization and student issues, revealed that he is pleased to be present at the fourth Facebook Hangout.
“I’m glad the committee is keeping the program going; it’s one of the best, and it gives the younger generation in Osun State a platform to showcase their businesses and the core belief that the only things that can lift people out of poverty are creativity, commitment, and investment,” he continued. “We celebrate this core value outside of political parties”.
