Olalekan Badmus Hails Akinola’s SWDC Appointment, Commends Oyetola’s Role

The Executive Director, Marine and Operations, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Engr. Olalekan Badmus has felicitated the former Chief of Staff to the Governor in Osun State, Dr. Charles Akinola on his nomination by President Bola Tinubu as the Managing Director of the South West Development Commission (SWDC).

In a statement he personally signed and issued to newsmen on Friday, Badmus said Dr. Akinola’s appointment is well deserved, owing to his rich academic and governance experience, which makes him a perfect fit for the position.

He also saluted the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, H.E. Adegboyega Oyetola for his involvement in making the presidential nomination a reality.

“I felicitate with our boss, a highly cerebral and progressive development expert, Dr. Charles ‘Diji Akinola on his nomination by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Managing Director of the newly created South West Development Commission (SWDC).

“I have no doubts in the fact that your years of rich experience as a scholar at Harvard, achievements as the Head of the Office of Economic Development in Osun (OEDP), Chief of Staff to my leader and mentor, H.E Adegboyega Oyetola as Governor of Osun (2018 – 2022) has equipped you enough to deliver effectively in the new role.

“I also want to thank my leader and mentor for his painstaking efforts at recommending leaders and eggheads from our political dynasty – ILERIOLUWA for veritable positions to serve this great country. Your efforts so far have positioned citizens of Osun in the right place to offer their God given talents to aid the rapid development of the country.

“On behalf of my family, friends and associates, I wish Dr. Akinola a successful tenure, particularly in bringing the much needed development to the South West,” Badmus noted.
