Renowned Nigerian artist, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has announced his separation from wife and actress Annie Idibia, after years of marriage.
In an Instagram post, the music icon revealed that the couple had been separated for some time and have now filed for divorce. He noted that he intends to issue a press release to share his side of the story, stating that the decision was not aimed at feeding public curiosity but rather out of love for his fans and the need to clear the air about his innocence or any perceived wrongdoing.
The post read, in part, “I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now and currently filed divorce… not because it is anyone’s right to know about my personal life; but because I love my people and I need them to know my innocence or offense.”
2Baba concluded the post by expressing love for his supporters, asking them to stay blessed.
