Four inmates have escaped from the Jos Maximum Prison in the state capital.
The inmates, our correspondent gathered, escaped in the earlier hours of Thursday.
A staff of the correctional facility who spoke on condition of anonymity said, “It was in the night that the incident happened. But how the inmates were able to beat the security and escaped is what some of us don’t understand.”
The spokesman of the correctional centre, Mr Geoffrey Longdien confirmed the escape of the four inmates
Longdien said, “Four inmates of the correctional centre escaped at the early hours of Thursday. Investigation is ongoing and we shall brief the press when we finish.”
