A social media report claiming that former Osun State Governor and Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, is in France to meet President Bola Tinubu has been debunked.
In a statement issued by his media adviser, Sola Fasure, on Tuesday, the report was described as completely false and misleading.
Fasure clarified that Aregbesola is currently in Abuja and has not left Nigeria.
He emphasized that the claim holds no truth and urged the public to disregard it in its entirety.
The statement reads, “Our attention has been drawn to a mischievous report in the social media claiming that the former Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, is currently in France to meet with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“We wish to categorically state that this is false and there is no truth to it absolutely.
“Ogbeni Aregbesola is presently in Abuja and has not travelled outside the shores of Nigeria.
“The report is entirely false and unfounded and should therefore be totally disregarded.”
