Jimoh Adigun Foundation Empowers Eighty Widows In Olupona Land

Eighty widows have been empowered by Jimoh Adigun foundation in Olupona land.

AMILOADED NEWS AGENCY gathered that the empowerment ceremony was held at the district council secondary school in Olupona, Iwo, Osun State, on Saturday, November 11.

The foundation was established in honor of the late Alhaji Jimoh Adigun, a notable politician, businessman, and philanthropist who was regarded as an icon of greatness. 

The foundation’s chairman, Hon.Rilwan Adigun, revealed during the empowerment program that the JAF is an empowerment program aimed at widows, the impoverished masses, and all other vulnerable members of society. 

He also revealed that it is intended to be a way for them to give back to the society that has given so much to our late father and our family by giving them a helping hand to make life more meaningful.

Hon. Adigun claims that the goal of JAF is to use education and agriculture as tools for empowerment and as a means of promoting the general well-being of our community.

“Eighty widows throughout Olupona land, including Oke-Osun as a starting point, received twenty-five thousand each,” the Chairman continued.

He added that the foundation will keep looking for relevance in the “Oloponnaland” project and that the JAF empowerment initiative will be an annual event.

During the empowerment, Oke-Osun ward 4’s Mrs. Kafayat Olasanmi expressed her gratitude to the foundation for their kind gesture towards the widows.

She prayed for prosperity for each and every organizer as well. 

The foundation was also thanked for their assistance by Mrs. Oluwatoyin Popoola, a beneficiary from Oke-osun ward 2.

The chairman of the People’s Democratic Party in Aiyedire, Alhaji Wasiu Akinwon, expressed gratitude to Hon. Rilwan Adigun for empowering the eighty widows in the community. 

Similar to this, Hon. Akintola Adeolu, the Chairman of Aiyedire South, prayed for Rilwan Adigun, the Chairman of the Foundation, and expressed hope that things would improve the following year. 

Speaking at the event as well, Hon. Adigun Monsuru, the son of the late philanthropist and Aiyedire LCDA secretary, said he was praying for Senator Ademola Adeleke to serve a long term as governor. “I am also praying for Long live for my Brother Rilwan to be able to achieve more of this”
