Nigeria @62: Ogunbiyi Congratulates Nigerians

The chairman of Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc, Dr Akin Ogunbiyi, has felicitated Nigerians on the 62nd anniversary of the country’s independence.

Ogunbiyi, who said this in a statement issued by his media team, added that despite numerous challenges, the nation will survive and Nigerians will be fine.

His words, “today, as ever, we again remember the labour of our heroes past and the vibrant band of patriots who led us to this point – a government of, by, and for the people.

“In the last 62 years, the great people of Nigeria have worked in close partnership to address key regional priorities and national matters.

“As we look forward to continuing and expanding our priced oneness, we must appreciate our shared strength and continue to thank God. But then, our leaders and every concerned stakeholder must not forget to improve security, protect human rights, and support economic opportunities for all Nigerians.

“Now is the time for our nation to do more and be at the forefront in providing a more accountable government that incorporates civil society into a meaningful dialogue about its future and places the people first.

“Fellow Nigerians and the good people of Osun, please accept my sincere congratulations as we commemorate this Independence Day.”
