A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State and member of the Elders’ Caucus of the party, Prince Felix Adeyemi Awofisayo, has urged all members of the party in the state to remain calm over the Abuja High Court ruling nullifying Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s candidature in the July 16 governorship election, AMILOADED reports.

Awofisayo said this in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Saturday.

According to him, the court ruling should not be seen as a major setback as the governor’s case at the election tribunal continues unhindered.

“I wish to charge our members not to see the recent Abuja High Court ruling as a major setback, as our case at the Election Petition Tribunal continues unhindered,” Awofisayo said.

The Ile-Ife-born Prince noted that the nation’s judiciary remains the last hope of the common man and therefore should at all times live above board in all its activities.

The APC chieftain assured all party members and Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s supporters across the state and beyond to remain steadfast in their resolve, saying the party and the governor were on top of the situation and doing the needful.

“I want to use this opportunity to assure all our party members and Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s supporters in the state and beyond to remain steadfast in their support, while the party leadership and the governor are on top of the situation,” he added.
