Osun PDP Primaries: Appeal Panel Recommends Rerun in Iwo Constituency

The Appeal Committee Panel established by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the State House of Assembly and House of Representatives primary election in Osun State, has recommended a rerun election in Iwo Federal Constituency, AMILOADED reports.

Seven aspirants were said to have appealed the outcome of the election results before the PDP Appeal Committee Panel established by NWC of the party to look into the petitions of the aspirants.

According to the copies of the Appeal Panel recommendation about the petition which was dated May 30, 2022, six of the petitions lack merit of various degree, therefore could not be entertained, except that of Ayedire/Iwo/Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency where the petitioner was able to substantiate with sufficient proof of fraudulent and illegally disenfranchisement of 4 delegates from his strong hold, and they were replaced by strange people during the voting exercise.

PDP National Working Committees through Directorate of Organization and Mobilization had received the report on May 30, 2022, while aspirants and all the members of the party are waiting for the approval of the NWC.
