PDP National Convention: Former Osun Gov, Oyinlola Breaks Silence, Reacts To Arapaja’s Victory

The former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola who lost position of the Deputy National Chairman of the party to a former deputy governor of Oyo State, Ambassador Taofik Arapaja at the National Convention of the People’s Democratic Party has finally reacted.

In a statement obtained in Osogbo on Sunday, Oyinlola said he had earlier sent a private message to Arapaja congratulating him on his victory and wished him a successful tenure, adding that the newly-elected PDP Deputy National Chairman South acknowledged his message with appreciation.

He said he’s optimistic the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is in good hands considering the success of the party’s national convention in Abuja.

The politician felicitated with the party and all the newly elected national officers of the party.

Speaking further on the new PDP leaders, while describing the success of the national convention of the party as a good omen for Nigeria and Nigerians, Oyinlola said he was confident the party was in very good hands and will take the party to greater heights.

The former governor expressed his vote of thanks to the founding fathers, all party leaders and his supporters across the country for the strength of their support for him and the love which they radiated around him throughout the contest.

Oyinlola lauded his colleagues in the PDP Governors Forum for holding the forte of the party while promising that he would continue to play his role as a leader and strengthen his support for the PDP and its organs.
