The Osun State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has awarded a chieftain of the Osun Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Sanya Omirin, for his philanthropic gesture, mobilisation strategy, and interest in developmental politics, AMILOADED reports.
The award was presented to the PDP chieftain at the Award Night organised in continuation of the union annual anniversary held at Banquet Hall, Leisure Spring Hotel, Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
In his reaction, Hon. Omirin expressed his appreciation to the NUJ for finding him worthy of receiving the award.
The Osun-born philanthropist, who stated that the award will extend his philanthropic gestures, further strengthen his commitment to the community development in Osun State, adding hat he will continue to mobilise extensively.
Omirin, therefore, appreciated God for giving him the opportunity to serve humanity just as he also appreciated his family members for their love and support. He further thanked his political friends and allies.
