The Osun State Police Command with the support of other security outfits have rescued the two Chinese nationals that were kidnapped by suspected kidnappers on 5th April, 2021 at Okepa/Itikan Village at the gold mining site in Ifewara area of Osun state.
A statement on Thursday by the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP. Opalola Yemisi on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode, said the two Chinese nationals namely: Messrs Zhao Jian and Wen were rescued at about 9pm on Wednesday without being hurt.
While assuring that efforts are ongoing to arrest the suspected kidnappers, she enjoined residents of to support, co-operate, and collaborate with the Police in fighting crime to bring it down to the barest minimum, by providing them with credible and prompt information as this will always help in forestalling future incident.
