Ogiyan Of Ejigbo At 85 And 47 Years On the Throne : He Is An Epitome Of Excellence, Says Omooba Dotun Babayemi

The Ogiyan of Ejigboland, Oba Omowonuola Oyeyode Oyesosin 11 has been described as a pride to the royal institution,a perfectionist, highly principled traditional ruler and fountain of knowledge and wisdom, from whom all and sundry should tap.

A son of the immediate past Olufi of Gbongan,Oba (Dr) Solomon Oyewole Babayemi,Akinrinola 1,Omooba Dotun Babayemi said this in his goodwill message to the revered traditional ruler on the occasion of his 85th birthday and 47 years on the throne of his forefathers.

Omooba Babayemi described Oba Omowonuola Oyesosin as a true custodian to the exalted throne of Ogiyan whose 47 years of meritorious reign has rubbed off positively on the people of Ejigboland .His reign as the 29th Ogiyan of the ancient town, according to him,has been characterised by peace and harmony and he has indeed been an exemplary leader who has been at the forefront of community services, inspiring his people,both home and abroad, towards excellence in education,commerce and other human endeavours .

While extolling the octogenerian’s courage in upholding the values of integrity, hard work and search for knowledge which has been the hallmark of the people of Ejigboland,Omooba Babayemi commended his tremendous fatherly roles on regular counsels to governments, institutions and families.

He noted the beautiful aura and dignity Ogiyan attached to the royal stool and his unending passion for the people of Ejigboland which has earned him their unalloyed loyalty,love and care,over the years.

Omooba Babayemi prayed Almighty God to grant the royal father longer life, good health and more wisdom to sustain the legacies of his fathers.
