BREAKING: Osun College Students Protest Over Suspension Of Lecturing Activities (Photos, Video) 

 

The students of Osun State College of Education, Ila Orangun on Thursday morning protested over suspension of lecturing activities.

The students who stormed the campus and road leading to the campus around 8am protested over the suspension of lecturing activities.

The Students’ Union president of the Institution, Olarewaju Tajudeen while speaking with our correspondent during the protest said: “The management of our institution failed to pay our lecturers 54 months peculiar (an allowance that the management pay to lecturers for course allocation and many more). As a result, our lecturers embarked on strike on Tuesday, stating that if the management fails to pay them their peculiar, they won’t resume academic activities.

“We’re making this know to the entire students of Ossce Ila Orangun and the capacity of every Students structure, that the management of the Ossce Ila Orangun should not toy with the revolution movement of the entire students of Ossce Ila Orangun.

“We’re making this as a final note that we’re very much tired of the epileptic academic calendar of the college. From what we observed it’s now the custom of the management to go on strike whenever the school is preparing for examination.

” The management of Ossce Ila Orangun should with impelling alacrity meet the demands of our lecturers.

“The school should not in any way have academic breakdown again. The management of Ossce Ila Orangun should work hand in hand with the concern quotas for quick releasing of the results.

” There shouldn’t be any charges for checking of result online. Failure to meet up this demands immediately will leads to the movement of entire Nigeria Students which will get out of the management control.

“It’s on this note we kindly beseech for the quick intervention of the state government to come to our aids on this critical State..”
