Yoruba Youths Call For One Nigeria, Disown October 1st Yoruba Nation Protest

A coalition of Yoruba Youths under the umbrella of Yoruba Youth Movement (YYM) has stage a peaceful Protest in solidarity for one Nigeria.

The Yoruba Youth Movement which is a coalition comprising of Yoruba Youths in Tertiary Institutions across Nigeria and Artisans has take this drastic step as a sharp contrast to the ongoing agitation for a Yoruba Nation.

The Peaceful Protest which occurred at the early hours of yesterday in Iwo Osun State, has been described as one which aimed at disowning the planned October 1st Yoruba Nation going viral as well as calling for one indivisible and indissoluble Nigeria.

Expressing his dissatisfaction on the call for a Yoruba Nation at this trying time, Muritala Alasi, the chairman of the Yoruba Youth Movement view the agitation as unnecessary and irrelevant to the Yoruba Fold.

“An agitation for a Yoruba Nation at this time Yoruba is taking his own son Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the Presidential race is a riot against common sense, we need to move on and agitate for a better Nigeria, not a divided one” he said.

He added that “Yoruba had no reason to cede away, we are satisfied with the dividends of Democracy we are enjoying as one Nigeria
