Osun State Governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola has been described as an exemplary leader whose pragmatic approach to governance has brought speedy development to the state.
A Former Chairman of Accord Party in Osun state, Otunba Olusegun Fanibe stated this at the Government House during his visit to the State helmsman.
He said Oyetola is concerned about the welfare of the citizen and has been ensuring that the dividend of democracy spread throughout the nooks and crannies of the state.
These remarks are contained in a statement released by his Media, Publicity and Strategic Adviser, MacDonald Oladipo, a copy of which was made available to AMILOADED on Tuesday.
Fanibe who is popularly known as (Kajola-Kajola Oko-Arugbo), said he was not surprised that Oyetola is developing the state because his background as an Insurance guru and a boardroom czar speaks a lot about him.
Addressing Oyetola, the ex-Chairman said, “I am highly impressed with your pragmatic approach to governance as you matched your words with action. You have lifted Osun from where it was to an enviable State in all facets of governance.
“You have really shown an exemplary leadership and Osun is benefitting a lot from it.”
He equally appreciated Gov. Oyetola for fixing competent and reliable Ife sons in strategic positions in his government. Those whom he said are Ife indigenes in Oyetola’s administration are Sooko Taju Lawal, Hon. Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon. (Barr.) Folorunso Oladoyin, Hon. Commissioner for Education and Hon. Jamiu Olawumi, Special Adviser on Education.
The former House of Representatives candidate for Ife Federal Constituency in the 2019 general election under the auspices of Accord Party posited that, “the paramount of what His Excellency did was the appointment of Hon. Ajibola Famurewa from Osun East senatorial district as chairman, Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).”
He said, “the reversal to status quo of school names and uniforms is a welcome development which shows that Osun state Governor is a listening Governor.
Famine prayed God to continue to guide and keep ordering Governor Oyetola’s steps as he keeps piloting the affairs of Osun State to higher level.
He wished him happy 66th birthday in advance.
In his response, Governor Oyetola thanked Otunba Fanibe for aligning with the progressives’ family.
The governor added that the primary objectives and/or fundamental principles of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is to serve humanity, serve with integrity and diligently.
