Matadors Leadership Institute Launches ‘Teenagers Leadership Club’ In Osun

 

 

Matadors Leadership Institute, on Friday, the 18th of September 2020, launched a learning community for teenagers called the “Teenagers Leadership Club”.

The program was specifically designed to teach teenagers leadership values, to change their mindset towards Nigeria as a country.

Teenagers would also have hands-on training on hard skills like adire, sculpturing, facinators and hat making, among others.

At the program, notable personalities like Hon. Bamidele Salam, Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Adewunmi Adeyemi, Member of Osun State House of Assembly and Pastor Peter Imoh of House on the Rock Church, Osogbo were around to share their experiences on Leadership.

Hon. Bamidele Salam lauded this initiative and gave some copies of his book “Leaders of our dream 1” to Matadors Leadership Institute to give to the teenagers.

On why it is important to have teenagers learn the values of leadership, the Executive Director of Matadors Leadership Institute- Adedayo Adeniyi popularly known as Dayo Nigeria, said teenagers in Nigeria have what it takes to compete with teenagers anywhere in the world.

Dayo Nigeria who launched the program to celebrate his birthday added that “we just need a different mindset towards our value systems and develop innovative solutions to the problems we have.”

The teenagers were thankful that a club such as this was established in their neighborhood and promised to be active members and try to see that things change in their community.

The club meetings would be held at Eduvation Hub, zone 5, behind Emmanuel Hospital, Capital, Osogbo on Tuesdays and Thursdays by 12:30pm.
