Islamic Group, SB Opens WASSCE Scholarship For Secondary School Students In Osun, Ondo, Ekiti, Others (See How To Apply)

 

In line with the desire to provide education support to indigent Muslim students, a renowned Islamic group in Nigeria, the Standard Bearers Islamic Organization (SB) has unveiled plans on provisions of scholarship awards for selected brilliant but indigent Muslims students in Senior Secondary School Class three(3) across Osun, Ondo, Ekiti, Kwara and Abuja.

The Organization, provided an opportunity for all the Muslim students across the States to apply for Virtual Career Mentorship Programme(VCMP 2020) tagged “Indigent But Brilliant” so as to acquire a scholarship scheme through a quiz competition on Mathematics, English Language , Combined papers and oral interview.

Speaking with our correspondent on Monday, the Osun State Public Relations Officer of SB, Mallam Gidado Habeeb said one of the flagship programme of the SB is the VCMP which aims is to assist indigent but brilliant Muslim students in paying for the West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) or National Examination Council (NECO) fee by awarding scholarships of varying cadre.

Mallam Habeeb added that the VCMP which was established seven years ago has begun its 2020/2021 edition for the Muslim students to apply.

“The Application Form is opened now and the registration will close on 30th October, 2020. The application is open for only Muslim students who must be a Senior Secondary school Class three(3) or must be a senior Secondary school leaver planning to write SSCE examination.

“There will be a mock examination for all registered candidates by 31st of October to familiarize them with the platform.

The official examination will holds on 7th of November and results / awards will be announced shortly after the examination.
