Nigerian Army Distributes Palliative To Owu Kuta Residents In Commemoration Of NADCEL

 

The Engineering Regiment Corps Ede, Osun State of the Nigerian Army has distributed palliative to people of Owu Kuta kingdom of the state.

 

This gesture was extended to the people of the community in commemoration of this year’s Nigeria Army Day Celebration, (NADCEL).

 

Addressing beneficiaries at the event,  the Commander of the regiment, Brigadier General Agboola said Kuta is one of the areas of the responsibility of the regiment.

 

He said the Nigerian Army recognises the support of the traditional ruler of Owu Kuta, HRM Oba  Hammed Adekunle Oyelude Makama.

 

According to him, the monarch’s advocacy, support and sustained campaign of the activities of Nigeria Army has been boosting the morales of the military.

 

Oba Makama who was represented by one of the District Head in his domain, Chief A. A. Fatoyinbo thanked the Chief of Army Staff for his kind gesture towards Nigerians especially the downtrodden.

 

The monarch called for prayers and support for the military in its ongoing war against terrorism and  insurgency.

 

The people of the kingdom had gathered at Kuta Freedom Ground to receive palliative to help cushion the adverse effect occasioned by COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Also present at the event was the Special Adviser on Security Matters to the Governor of Osun State, Mrs Abiodun Ige.
