Eid el Kabir: Pray For Peace And Security In Nigeria, Olowu of Kuta Urges Muslims

A traditional ruler in Osun State, the Olowu of Kuta in Ayedire Local Government area, Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama, has enjoined Nigerians to take advantage of the Eid el Kabir festival to pray for enhanced peace, security and progress of the country.

Emphasizing the significance of Eid-el-Kabir in strengthening the bond that binds the nation together, the monarch urged Muslims to embrace the virtues of love, charity and sacrifice as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Mohammed.

Oba Makama, in his Sallah message made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Thursday felicitated with President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the state, the nation’s Armed forces, entire residents of Kuta, home and abroad and other Muslim faithfuls.

He wished them the guidance and blessings of Allah.

According to the Olowu, “this season calls for forgiveness and love for one another and there is need for Nigerians to be united and be their brother’s keeper in spite of all odds.

“As you engage in the celebrations of the Sallah, please remember that social distancing, wearing of face masks, hand washing and all those other protocols enunciated by the NCDC must be observed”.

The Olowu asked faithful to remember those who are in need by extending their complete love to them in all ramifications while they should all be law abiding before, during and after the festival.
