Buhari’s Wife Empowers Osun Women With Hair Dressing Equipment, Distributes Foodstuffs

Wife of Nigerian President, Mrs Aisha Buhari on Friday empowered some women in Osun state with hair dressing equipment and also provided foodstuffs to cushion the effect of Corona virus pandemic.

 

The First Lady carried out the gesture under the platform, Future Assured at the Osun State Government House premises in Osogbo on Friday.

 

Speaking through the south west coordinator of Future Assured, Mrs Adeyinka Bamigbose at the distribution of the equipment and relief materials, Hajia Buhari charged the women to follow guidelines prescribed by the National Disease Control Centre and other health organizations.

 

Specifically, the Nation’s first woman asked the women to practise hygiene by washing their hands constantly, wearing facemasks and maintaining social distance in the public.

 

Mrs Buhari said the distribution of the materials SAS the first leg and that it was to boost the businesses of vulnerable women in the state to be able to support their families.

 

She added that the empowerment was to support women and enable them make more profits and take care of their children.

 

The first lady urged the women to maximise the opportunities, make more profits and ensure they follow guidelines for the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Speaking, the wife of the Osun State Governor, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola commended the nation’s first lady for considering Osun women in the gesture.

 

She urged the beneficiaries to out the equipment in good use, make more profits and live well.

 

Mrs Oyetola advised them against selling the equipment but to be more productive with it.

 

Mrs Oyetola again thanked Mrs Buhari for her motherly love and  prioritising the welfare of women in the State and the commitment to brighten the future of women in Osun.
