Knowledge is More Important Than Certificate – Buhari’s Aide Blasts Dokpesi Over Malaria Drug Claim

Lauretta Onochie, President Muhammadu Buhari‘s aide on social media, has berated Chief Raymond Dokpesi for saying he has doubts in his mind concerning the difference between Covid-19 and malaria.

After recovering from Covid-19, Dokpesi who is the chairman of Daar Communications had said he was given malaria medications at the Gwagwalada isolation centre, FCT Abuja, where he was treated.

Dokpesi had said in a viral Instagram video: “I still have doubts in my mind and I need to be educated. What’s the difference between COVID-19 and malaria? Every drug we were given were malaria medications.

“A number of persons who tested positive were checked in reputable labs, hospitals in Abuja and were found to have malaria parasites in their bloodstreams. When did malaria become synonymous with COVID-19?”

Reacting to the development on Saturday, May 16, via her official Twitter handle, Onochie expressed disappointment with Dokpesi’s statement, despite his academic qualifications. Buhari’s aide blasts Dokpesi over malaria drug claim.

“When did malaria become infectious that it ravaged Chief Raymond Dokpesi’s family? This is why knowledge is more important than certificate.

“When you meet and engage some PhD holders, they leave you drained with ignorance & you wonder how much they paid for their certificates,” Onochie tweeted.

Dokpesi and some members had tested positive for the infectious disease.

Some have recovered while others are still receiving treatment at the isolation centre.
