Coronavirus: RCCG Distributes Relief Materials To Less Privileged, Church Members In Osun

 

The Redeemed Christian Church of God Breakthrough Sanitation Ministry Osun Province 1 Osogbo has distributed relief items to the less privileged members and other residents of the state as palliative measures to cushion the effect of COVID 19 pandemic lockdown.

 

Those who benefited from the gesture included widows, people with disabilities, members of the church and other needy in the society.

 

Speaking during the distribution of house to house relief items, the head of RCCG Breakthrough Sanitation Ministry, Mr. Sunday Adeagbo stated that the gesture was put in place by the department with the religion doctrine and according to the the directive of the General Oversea of RCCG Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye.

 

Pastor Adeboye had directed that food items be given to assist  members and the needy in the society to reduce the pains citizen of the country are experiencing as a result of the total  lockdown.

 

The HOD Sanitation Ministry stated further that the effort which was financed by Sanitation Ministry under the umbrella of the church is the second batch since the inception of the total lockdown.

 

He said it is the policy of Sanitation Ministry as a corporate social responsibility to impact to members of the ministry and the needy in the society at large.

 

Mr Adeagbo added that the effort which was carried out is to compliment the previous efforts done by the church. He said it was a means of ensuring that the department gives back to members of the church and the society in general.

 

He pointed out that love is not only expressed through words but in acts, calling on all well meaning Nigerians to come to the aids of the less privileged in the society through various developmental programme that will make the society a safe place to leave.

 

He also enjoined all beneficiaries of the relief items to always stay safe and comply with the directive of the government on social distancing, using of facemask, washing of hands regularly and the use of hand sanitizer.

 

Appreciating the gesture put in place by the church department, one of the beneficiaries, Pa Joel Adewimi thanked RCCG  Sanitation Ministry Osogbo for giving out the food items.

 

He prayed that God almighty will blessed all members of the team.
