Lockdown: NASFAT Donates Food Stuffs To Osun Govt (Photos)

The Osun zone of Nasrul-lahi-li Fathi Society (NASFAT) has made donation of food items to the State Government to mitigate the suffering of vulnerable citizens of the state during the COVID-19 lockdown.

 

The executive of the Muslim society donated items comprising tubers of yams and Cartons of Noodles worth Hundreds of thousands of Naira on behalf of its members and national executives of the society.

Presenting  the items at the  Osun Palliative Collation Centre, the Zonal Chairman of NASFAT Osun- Alhaji Sefiu Ayo Adewumi, commended the state government on the efforts taken in combating the outbreak of Covid-19 in the state.

Adewumi also prayed for the quick recovery of those infected with the virus in the state and across the world.

Receiving the palliative on behalf of the state government, the Secretary to the  State Government, Prince Wole Oyebamiji, thanked NASFAT for the gesture and promised that the items would be put to best use and would be distributed to the downtrodden within the state.

 

The SSG also took the opportunity to restate that the 14 days lockdown in the state is still in effect and appealed to citizens to adhere to its guidelines so as to be safe.

Other officials of the State present during the donation include the Commissioner for Human Resources and Capacity Building- Alhaja Lateefat Giwa; Commissioner for Commerce,  Industry and Cooperatives- Dr. Henry Bode Olaonipekun; Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation- Hon. (Mrs) Funke Egbemode; Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs- Hon. Bayo Adeleke; Special Adviser on Water Resources- Engr. Ibitoye Kilomodemo among others.

 

The National Executive Council of NASFAT was represented by Alhaji  Sunkanmi Ajiboye who is also the SSA/Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor of the State of Osun while the entourage of the Zonal chairman includes the Zonal Vice Chairman- Alh Olaniyi Yisa, the Zonal Secretary-Hajia Rasheedat Adebayo, Zonal Youth Secretary- Mr Olasupo Tajudeen and NASFAT media person- Mr Semih Adabanija.
