A member of the House of Representative, Hon. Israel Ajibola Famurewa has felicitated with Muslim Faithful on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-fitri festival.
In his goodwill message made available on Tuesday, Famurewa charged Muslim Faithful to sustain the lessons of the Ramadan period.
Specifically, the lawmaker asked Muslim Faithful to live everyday of their lives as if they are still experiencing Ramadan saying the fasting period always bring faithful closer to Allah in good deeds.
He tasked them to love their neighbours more especially citizens of other religions.
While emphasising on cordial and peaceful coexistence with people of other religions, the Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress said the lessons of Ramadan which includes arms giving, love and tolerance must be practised by Muslims henceforth.
Hon. Famurewa said they should maximise the privilege of this festival to show more love to people.
Doing this, the federal lawmaker said the country would keep sustaining its democracy as development would be witnessed in the country.
“I want to heartily greet our Muslim Faithful Happy Eid-el-Fitri in a very amiable way. I thank Allah for making this festival a reality and we pray that more of it will be celebrated in good health.
” I want to urge our Muslim Faithful not to forget the lessons of the Ramadan period. Let’s be more generous, loving and tolerant. Our nation Nigeria with be better for it. I wish us a happy celebration,” Famurewa said.
