BREAKING: 18 Passengers, Driver Burnt To Death In Akure-Owo Auto Crash



A total number of 18 Passengers and a driver have been reportedly lost their lives in an accident that occurred on Akure-owo Highway today, Saturday 8th of June.


According to the P.R.O of the Ondo state Police command, Mr. Femi Joseph. The accident involved a fully loaded 18 seater bus moving towards Abuja and a lorry moving in the opposite direction.
AMILOADED gathered that the lorry was said to have collided with the bus while trying to avoid a pot hole on the road, after which the bus went into flames with no single survivor.

However, the driver of the lorry is still at large at the time of filing this report.
Residents of the community around the accident point were said to have protested the long time neglect of the bad road immediately after the accident but were calmed by the police.
Bodies of the victims of the accident have been deposited at the state specialist Hospital mortuary in Akure.
Mr. Femi Joseph said the police is presently investigating the incident and searching for the fleeing driver.
