Some angry youths of Salu in Edunabon, a community in Ife North West Local Council Development area of Osun state have set the palace of the king ablaze in protest against the prince selected by the state government.
Our correspondent learnt that the unfortunate development was linked to the tussle rocking the selection of a new Salu of Edunabon.
Two princes from the same royal family had emerged and had entered seclusion in order to be able to assume the throne of their forefathers
The government had approved the selection of Prince Kehinde Olapade before the kingmakers asked him to proceed to seclusion for the enthronement rites.
But some of the youths of the community have rejected the choice of Olapade. They staged a protest today Wednesday 19th of december and set the palace of Salu Edunabon ablaze.
