The Osun State Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC, Osun State Police Command, on Wednesday had it National Security Conference at Atlantis event centre in Osogbo, the State capital.
The program themed,”Combating the Twin Evil of Terrorism and Kidnapping through Peoples Policing” was attended by prominent personalities in the State and it environs.
These personalities included the Governor of the State, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alh. Gboyega Oyetola, the former Inspector General of Police, Mr Solomon Arase, former NULGE President and Permanent Secretary in the State, Dr. Oyebade Olowogboyega and President, Women Arise for Change Initiative, foremost Human Frights Activist, Dr. Joe Okei Odumakin.
Others were the National Chairman of PCRC, Dr. Faruk Abdullahi Maiyama, the Deputy National Chairman North, Alh. Sanusi Mayama’a Ajiya and Deputy National Chairman South, Chief Mrs Adeshola Adebutu Keshington.
Traditional rulers at the event were, the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Akanbi AbdulRasheed, the Oba of Ikirun, Orangun of Ila, Olufon of Ifon among others.
The main organisers of the event, Chairman of Osun PCRC, Comrade Amitolu Shittu with other executives and members of the committee were also in attendance.
DPO of various police stations in the state also graced the occasion.
