Apart from the first lady and wife of the Governor,State of Osun,Alhaja Sherifat Abidemi Aregbesola who will be honoured with “Golden Mother Award”,the Deputy Governor of the State will also receive an award as the “Pride of Osun”.
Queen of osun Beauty pageant is a yearly event and this is the fifth Edition.
The Major Objective of this event is to seek, encourage and help young ladies with an enterprising dream through ethics, discipline, beauty, intelligence, andbconfidence.
Also to become an outstanding Ambassador while the mission is to sort out young ladies who seek to achieve a better society by nurturing their business acumen, skills, and will power in pursuit of financial success, promote discipline, and supports the strengthening of character.
Other awards listed for the day includes Bank Executive of the year 2017 Awards, Education, Business, Entertainment etc
In 2013, Miss Osun was re-branded to Queen of Osun presented by Muzik Planet Entertainment,a State pageant celebrating beauty, culture, and style of the State of Osun. The vision became a reality with the establishment of Beauty Pageant. The Queen of Osun 2017 Beauty Pageant is the most prestigious pageants in existence today and has become a vehicle for personal development and promotion of cultural appreciation in the State of Osun.
Muzik Planet Entertainment (an Osun Based event outfit) produces high quality competitions that emphasize and provide opportunities for personal development. The pageant is decent (no appearance in swimsuits by participants ),well organized and designed to offer something for everyone. It holds to the highest standards of integrity and conducts its Pageantry in a fair and unbiased manner.
Stars in nollywood like mercy Aigbe, Toyin Adewale, Damola Olatunji, Toyin Adegbola, Lepa Shandy and so on while file up for this year’s edition.
Music performances will be from Dot G, Papiwizzy, Willy More, etc. Comedy by Baba Alariya, Dr. Bengu and host of others.

“The 2017 edition of Queen Osun promises to be more exciting with mouth-alluring prizes stretched up for winners and as well the runners-up. More so, with endorsement of Government of the State of Osun and the State Tourism Board, this year edition is to be top-notch beyond human imagination. Registration Legibility is for the ladies from the age 18 – 26, Nationality: Nigerian, Height 5.7 and above”.
The vision is to see a fine tuned enterprising woman becoming immeasurable and independent,life changing and business minded role model”,he stressed.
This year event is scheduled to hold on Easter Sunday April 16th at the Atlantis civic Center ring road beside nasfat praying center Osogbo, State of Osun. Time is 2pm. Admission is free but you must dress fine.
