The town of Ibokun located in Osun State was ignited by bundles of festivities on Saturday, June 11, 2016 when the Ogboni of Ibokun, Oba Kayode Awogboro hosted the indigenes of the great Kingdom in the 2016 Ibokun day festival.
Amiloaded correspondent reveals that the Ibokun day 2016 was a big revival and celebration of cultural, political and economic life of an Ibokun land in central Yorubaland.
The carnival was enriched with incisive reflections and prayers from all faiths, in order to chart a new era of peace, prosperity and strong bond of unity in the community.
Royal fathers, spiritual leaders, socio-cultural clubs and political leaders were present to make this year’s Ibokun day festival a day-long inter-denominational grand finale at the Ibokun Palace Square.
Notable personality who were indigene of Ibokun Community present at the festival include; Dr Gbenga Ogunleye former Chairman obokun local government, Prince Albert Adeyemi a chieftain of the Osun State APC and Oyintiloye Olatunbosun John the honourable for obokun constituency, among others.
The event was fun filled and full of pleasant surprises. It was a day to be remembered for a long time as this event opened up Ibokun land to the world of investors and tourists.
