The 2016 Face of Oodua beauty pageant Ipetu Ijesa which was the first of its kind was held on Friday, June 3 at Quest hotel, Ipetu Ijesa, Osun state.
Yesterday at 9am the contestants amidst the committee members walked to promote there culture. The actual event kicked off at quest hotel by 4pm.
The event which was tagged “FACE OF OODUA – The Legend of Beauty and Culture Festival”. The contestants were groomed as mentors to the young ones and role models in the society.
Miss Akinbode Omowumi beats other contestants to clinch the crown. A 200 level student of the University of Osun, Ipetu-ijesa campus, department of political science education. Omowumi combined beauty and brain to beat others at the contest.
She would be privileged for an online shopping and be featured on nothing less than 5 daily times. Other take away gift she took home include make up bag and so on.
Among the Notable Guests at the event was the Former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Oluseyi Petinrin,and the CEO of Olujobi Hospital Ipetu-Ijesa.
