Kebbi Government To Embarks On 3 Billion Naira Empowerment Project (Photos)

Governor of Kebbi State Senator Abubakar Bagudu says that the state government will soon unveil an empowerment program amounting to over 3 billion naira for women entrepreneurial activities across the state.

The Governor stated this during the first Ramadan Lecture organised for women by the office of the First Lady Dr Zainab Bagudu in collaboration with Al-Habibiya Islamic organization held in Birnin Kebbi.
He also assured the audience that women empowerment will continue to receive appropriate attention under his administration, adding that empowering a single woman is a way of supporting the whole family.

In her speech, the convener of the lecture and first lady of Kebbi State Dr Zainab Bagudu enjoined women to be exemplary community leaders and make do patiently with available resources given to them by their husbands.

She assured them she would continue to be a mother and bring innovative programs that will benefits women, youths and children of the State.

One after the other, speakers at the event delivered lectures in view of the theme for the program, Patience In Pain, in which they reminded Muslims the importance of imbibing the principles of observing the Ramadan fast, such as learning to endure lack with faith and patience, in the light of dwindling economic resources of the country.
Sheikh Abubakar Giro and Ustaz Umaru Isa advised the audience to live a righteous life and avoid engaging themselves in sinful acts.
Among the dignitaries at the lecture include Chief Imam of Birnin Kebbi Central Mosque, Imam Fu’ad and Malam Nasiru Kigo.

Others include women politicians, directors, permanent secretaries, and those from 21 local government areas, wives of Chairmen of all the local governments as well as professional groups.
